Tot's Aikido training
Aikido for Tots (ages 4-6) is a program that was developed to introduce our very young children into the world of martial arts. At such a young age it's not necessary to learn actual self defense movements. At Tri-City Aikido, we will teach your children "Light" martial arts application as to keep these impressionable youngsters positive and happy. As they grow and demonstrate self-control, we expose them to more and more of the art. This learning environment will allow a wonderfully structured practice experience for your child.
Life lessons start now
At Tri City Aikido, your child will learn and develop life skills. For example: ettiquette, respecting others, structure, leadership skills, how to set goals and the list goes on.
Getting the children to focus their minds on the current subject matter is always stressed. When their minds begin to understand, their bodies can start to follow direction.
Aikido is not a sport martial art, so your child will not be put in a situation that will require them to strike another child for reward. What this does is create a safe and ego-free environment.
Investing in our youth
The children are our future, so it is important to invest positive traits and characteristics into their lives. At such a young age, it is important that parents remember that the most common and simplest task must be learned. At ages 4-6, the child's mind and body is growing each and everyday and many experiences for them are brand-new.
We introduce the kids to exercise's and challenges that teach them some of the practices listed.
